Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates offers strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events, finance, technology, and construction, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected in public and workplaces. Lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping, beaches, dining, and entertainment, although summers are extremely hot and living costs can be high. Most foreign employees need employer sponsorship for a residence and work visa. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, health insurance, and sometimes accommodation or a housing allowance. Before relocating, confirm salary, benefits, probation terms, working hours, accommodation, transport, annual leave, and flight entitlements. UAE employment regulations and visa requirements can change, so applicants should verify details with the employer and official government sources.
