Junior Sous Chef

Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations at HYDE Perth. Requirements typically include commercial cookery qualifications, several years of experience in a high-volume hotel, restaurant or lifestyle venue, strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards, and the ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team. The successful candidate is expected to assist with menu preparation, maintain consistent food quality and presentation, control stock and wastage, follow cost guidelines, and work efficiently during busy service periods. Flexibility, reliability, creativity, good communication and a hands-on approach are essential. Availability for weekends, evenings and public holidays is generally required.
