Job Description

The Business Development Manager will generate and convert MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) and group business for Pullman Sydney Hyde Park. Requirements typically include proven hotel sales experience, strong knowledge of the corporate and events market, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships with agencies, event planners and corporate clients. The successful candidate is expected to identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, prepare proposals, conduct site inspections, negotiate contracts, meet revenue targets and maintain accurate sales activity records. Experience with hotel sales systems, a strong local network and an understanding of Sydney’s accommodation and events sector are advantageous. The role also requires professionalism, initiative, teamwork and a results-focused approach.
