Job Description

The Director of Rooms leads the hotel’s front office, housekeeping and guest-services operations, ensuring consistently high standards across the guest journey. Requirements typically include several years of senior rooms-division or hotel operations experience, strong knowledge of luxury hospitality, budgeting, forecasting, staffing and service-quality systems, plus excellent communication skills. The successful candidate is expected to coach and motivate teams, manage departmental performance, resolve guest concerns professionally and work closely with other hotel leaders. Experience with hotel property-management systems and a strong understanding of Australian hospitality standards would be advantageous. The role also calls for commercial awareness, sound decision-making and a genuine focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
