Destination Guide

Thailand offers varied opportunities in hospitality, tourism, restaurants, wellness, marine activities, retail and digital marketing, especially in destinations such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya and Rayong. Rayong is on the mainland but provides easy access to Koh Samet and has a quieter coastal lifestyle than Thailand’s major islands. Local culture values politeness, respect, family, Buddhist traditions and maintaining a calm manner. Living costs are generally moderate, while transport and services are more limited outside major cities. Foreign employees normally need a Thai employer to sponsor a Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before beginning employment; requirements can include qualifications, passport documents and legalized paperwork. Candidates should confirm benefits, accommodation, tax, insurance and relocation support with the employer. Learning basic Thai and respecting local customs makes settling in easier.
