Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers strong hospitality opportunities across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering companies and tourism businesses regularly recruit chefs, pastry professionals, service staff and supervisors. Dubai is highly international, fast-paced and culturally diverse, with modern shopping, beaches, entertainment and extensive public transport. Islamic customs are important, and visitors and workers should dress respectfully and observe local laws, particularly regarding alcohol, public behavior and social media. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, arrange medical testing and provide an Emirates ID after arrival. Many hotel packages include accommodation, transport, meals, medical insurance and annual leave benefits. Candidates should verify contract terms, recruitment fees, probation conditions and accommodation before relocating. Living costs can be high, especially for private housing, but tax-free salary structures may improve savings potential.
