Destination Guide

Indonesia offers engineering and hospitality opportunities on islands such as Bali, Java, Lombok and Batam. Bali has the largest international tourism market, with jobs in resorts, hotels, villas and facilities management, while Java provides broader opportunities in business hotels and industrial properties. Local culture values courtesy, community, religious observance and respectful dress, with Hindu traditions especially visible in Bali and diverse Muslim traditions elsewhere. Island life can offer warm weather, beaches and an active expatriate community, although traffic, seasonal tourism and varying infrastructure are practical considerations. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship for the appropriate work and stay permits; working without authorization is not permitted. Relocation packages may include accommodation, meals, flights or transport, but these should be confirmed in writing. Candidates should check passport validity, medical requirements, taxation, insurance and permit conditions before accepting an offer.
