Job Description

The Director of Events Management leads the planning, sales, coordination and delivery of conferences, weddings, banquets and other major events. Candidates should have substantial experience in hotel events, catering or hospitality management, together with strong commercial awareness, budgeting skills and knowledge of local and international client expectations. Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and organizational abilities are essential. The role requires close cooperation with sales, food and beverage, kitchen, rooms and operations teams. The successful candidate is expected to grow event revenue, maintain high service standards, manage demanding timelines, develop client relationships and ensure every event is delivered safely, professionally and in line with Shangri-La standards.
