Public Area Supervisor

Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees cleanliness and presentation in hotel public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, washrooms, restaurants, elevators and other guest areas. Requirements typically include previous housekeeping or hotel operations experience, supervisory ability, attention to detail, good communication skills and knowledge of cleaning standards, chemicals and safety procedures. The successful candidate is expected to schedule and inspect work, coach team members, respond promptly to guest requests, coordinate with other departments and maintain Shangri-La’s service standards. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required. Cantonese, English and additional language skills may be advantageous in Hong Kong.
