Executive Chinese Chef

Job Description

The Executive Chinese Chef is responsible for leading the Chinese culinary operation, developing menus, maintaining authentic food quality, and ensuring consistent presentation and service standards. Requirements typically include extensive experience in Chinese cuisine, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant, strong knowledge of Cantonese or regional Chinese cooking, food safety certification, cost-control skills, and proven team leadership. The successful candidate is expected to manage kitchen operations, supervise chefs and stewarding colleagues, train staff, control purchasing and food waste, maintain hygiene standards, and work closely with senior management and other departments. Creativity, discipline, commercial awareness, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are essential.
