Job Description

The Director of Engineering leads all property engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations at Shangri-La in the Philippines. Requirements typically include a degree or technical qualification in engineering, extensive experience in hotel engineering or facilities management, and strong knowledge of building systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, safety standards, energy management, and preventive maintenance. The successful candidate is expected to manage budgets, contractors, refurbishment projects, and compliance requirements while ensuring reliable guest services and efficient hotel operations. Leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team-development skills are essential. Experience in a luxury resort or international hotel group, together with relevant professional licenses, is strongly preferred.
