Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with varied opportunities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Manila and nearby areas offer the broadest range of hotel, finance, corporate, and service jobs, while Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and Mactan provide strong tourism and resort employment. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle costs vary: Manila is busiest and generally more expensive, while provincial islands offer a slower pace, beaches, outdoor activities, and often lower living costs. Local employees need standard employment documentation and government registrations. Foreign nationals normally require an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and appropriate work visa, commonly a 9(g) pre-arranged employment visa. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation, transport, healthcare, contract terms, and the specific property location.
