Public Area Supervisor

Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees cleanliness and presentation in hotel lobbies, corridors, restaurants, restrooms, elevators, and other guest areas. Requirements typically include previous hotel housekeeping experience, supervisory ability, attention to detail, good communication skills, and knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and workplace safety. The successful candidate is expected to supervise attendants, assign daily duties, inspect public spaces, coordinate with other departments, respond promptly to guest requests, monitor supplies, and maintain Shangri-La’s service standards. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required. Cantonese, English, and additional language skills may be advantageous in Hong Kong.
