Job Description

The Service Manager Engineering is responsible for coordinating daily engineering services, maintenance activities, and technical support across the property. The role typically requires a diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or building services engineering, along with several years of hotel or facilities experience and previous supervisory responsibility. Candidates should understand preventive maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire and life-safety equipment, and local compliance requirements. Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, budgeting, and vendor-management skills are expected. The successful candidate should be hands-on, service-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to respond effectively to operational issues while maintaining Shangri-La’s standards.
