Job Description

The Steamer at Shang Palace is responsible for preparing and cooking steamed dishes according to Shangri-La’s recipes and food-quality standards. Duties may include operating steamers, preparing ingredients, monitoring cooking times and temperatures, maintaining presentation standards, assisting with dim sum or Chinese cuisine production, and keeping the workstation clean and hygienic. Candidates should have previous experience in a Chinese restaurant or hotel kitchen, knowledge of steaming techniques and food-safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Reliability, teamwork, physical stamina, attention to detail, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays are expected.
