Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Hospitality work is concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa, and the airport area. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and service-focused, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Lifestyle is convenient, safe, and well connected by public transport, although rent and daily expenses can be high. New employees commonly share accommodation or live in suburban areas to manage costs. Foreign workers must obtain an appropriate work pass before starting employment; the employer normally handles the application, with eligibility depending on nationality, salary, occupation, and government requirements. Candidates should confirm accommodation, medical coverage, meals, service charge, working hours, and relocation costs before accepting an offer.
