Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, finance and technology. Hotel jobs are concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa and the airport area. The culture is multicultural, orderly and service-focused, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Lifestyle options include excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks and lively arts and entertainment, although rent and daily expenses can be high. Foreign applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary and the role. Employers normally submit the application to Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. Arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and tax registration before relocating, and check current immigration requirements because policies can change.
