Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, healthcare, construction, technology, and professional services provide strong employment opportunities. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage, and a highly international expatriate community. Lifestyle varies from busy city living and shopping to desert activities, beaches, water sports, and world-class dining. Employers generally sponsor work visas for overseas hires, with medical checks, Emirates ID registration, and labour approval normally required after an offer is accepted. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, and visa sponsorship before relocating. Housing costs can be high, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while transport and daily expenses vary by emirate. Respectful dress and behaviour are expected, particularly during Ramadan and in government or traditional settings.
