Destination Guide

Malaysia is not one island but a country divided between Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo, with popular island destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, and parts of Sabah and Sarawak. Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, Penang, and Johor offer the strongest technology and shared-services job opportunities, including support, cloud, software, and consulting roles. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Indigenous influences; English is widely used in business. Living costs are moderate, though Kuala Lumpur rents vary considerably. Malaysia offers tropical weather, excellent food, public transport in major cities, and easy access to beaches and nature. Foreign employees usually need an employment pass sponsored by the employer, with approval before starting work. Candidates should confirm relocation assistance, visa eligibility, medical requirements, taxation, accommodation, and any shift-related transport arrangements before accepting an offer.
