Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in technology consulting, shared services, finance, manufacturing, tourism, digital commerce, and regional sales. Kuala Lumpur and nearby Selangor are the main employment centres, while Penang and Johor also have strong technology and industrial markets. Malaysian culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and international influences; English is widely used in business. Lifestyle costs are moderate, public transport is improving, and food and accommodation choices are diverse. Malaysia’s islands, including Langkawi, Penang, and the Perhentian Islands, provide beaches and outdoor activities, although they are separate from the main work hubs.
