Destination Guide

Malaysia offers technology opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, Penang, Johor, and emerging digital hubs. SAP consultants can find roles in consulting, shared services, manufacturing, finance, and multinational technology projects. Kuala Lumpur provides the widest career market, modern transport, international schools, shopping, and varied housing, while Penang offers a slower lifestyle, strong manufacturing demand, beaches, and a large expatriate community. Langkawi and other islands are better suited for holidays or remote-work periods than for a broad professional market. Malaysian culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous influences, and English is widely used in business. Living costs are moderate compared with many global cities. Foreign professionals usually need employer sponsorship for an Employment Pass; the hiring company normally handles the application. Bring verified qualifications and allow time for immigration processing and relocation arrangements.
