Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in data analytics, technology consulting, software, finance, shared services, engineering, healthcare, and digital operations, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor. Its main peninsula is complemented by island destinations such as Penang, Langkawi, and parts of Sabah and Sarawak. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous influences, and English is widely used in professional settings. Lifestyle costs are moderate compared with many global business centres, although Kuala Lumpur rents vary by area. Candidates should confirm visa eligibility, tax obligations, healthcare arrangements, and relocation support with the employer. Penang and Langkawi offer island living, while Kuala Lumpur provides the broadest career market.
