Senior Physical Design Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Physical Design Engineer is expected to lead RTL-to-GDSII implementation for semiconductor designs, including floorplanning, placement, clock-tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, power optimization, signal integrity, and physical verification. Candidates should have strong experience with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence or Synopsys, a solid understanding of CMOS, semiconductor process technologies, and low-power design techniques, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex timing and layout issues. A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics, or a related discipline is normally required. The role also expects technical leadership, clear communication, documentation skills, and effective collaboration with design, verification, and foundry teams.
