Job Description

The Industrial Engineer supports the improvement of FedEx operational systems, facilities, workflows and transportation processes. Responsibilities may include analysing data, developing capacity and productivity models, identifying process improvements, supporting facility design and implementing Lean or continuous-improvement initiatives. Candidates are generally expected to hold a degree in industrial engineering, engineering, operations research or a related discipline, with relevant experience in logistics, warehousing or distribution. Strong analytical, communication and project-management skills are important, along with confidence using Excel and other data-analysis tools. Senior candidates may also need experience leading improvement projects, influencing stakeholders and applying methods such as Lean Six Sigma. The role requires practical problem-solving, attention to detail and flexibility in a fast-moving operational environment.
