Destination Guide

The Maldives offers hospitality opportunities in resorts, hotels, restaurants, diving, marine activities, wellness, engineering and guest services, with many positions available for international workers. Maldivian culture combines Islamic traditions, South Asian influences and a strong connection to the sea. Resort islands are generally relaxed, private and self-contained, while local islands have more traditional communities and modest social customs. Lifestyle can be beautiful but remote, with limited shopping and entertainment compared with major cities; staff accommodation and meals are normally provided. Employers usually arrange an Employment Approval and work visa, subject to passport, medical and employment-document requirements. Relocation often involves an international flight followed by a domestic flight or speedboat transfer to the resort. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, leave, internet access, insurance, flights and accommodation terms before accepting an offer.
