Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees cleanliness, presentation and hygiene across hotel lobbies, corridors, public washrooms, elevators and other guest areas. Responsibilities typically include assigning duties, inspecting work, coordinating with engineering and front office, monitoring supplies, responding to guest requests and ensuring compliance with Shangri-La standards and health and safety procedures. Candidates should have relevant hotel housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisory role, strong attention to detail and knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment. Good communication, leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills are expected. The role requires flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays. Cantonese and English are advantageous, while Mandarin may be helpful in dealing with guests and colleagues.
