Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, Bintan, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and other islands. Bali has the largest international tourism market and many hotel, resort, wellness, and restaurant jobs, while Jakarta and major cities provide broader corporate and business opportunities. Indonesian culture values courtesy, community, respect for elders, and religious diversity; workplaces are generally welcoming but may be hierarchical. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to quieter beach or resort communities, with affordable local food and transport, although popular tourist areas can be costly. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work authorization and an appropriate limited-stay visa or KITAS; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly assist with immigration, accommodation, and relocation arrangements. Candidates should confirm benefits, housing, tax treatment, medical coverage, and contract terms before accepting an offer.
