Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees cleanliness, presentation, and daily operations in hotel public spaces such as lobbies, corridors, elevators, restaurants, and guest facilities. Requirements typically include hotel housekeeping experience, supervisory ability, good knowledge of cleaning procedures, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate is expected to lead and motivate colleagues, schedule and inspect cleaning duties, maintain hygiene and safety standards, respond promptly to guest requests, coordinate with other departments, and uphold Shangri-La’s service standards. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required. Cantonese, English, and knowledge of hotel operating systems may be advantageous.
