The General Technician supports the hotel’s Engineering team by carrying out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting for building systems, guestrooms, public areas and equipment. Candidates should have relevant technical training or experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning or general building maintenance. A practical, safety-conscious approach, basic knowledge of maintenance systems, good communication skills and the ability to work shifts are expected. Hotel or commercial property experience is advantageous. The successful candidate should respond promptly to maintenance requests, maintain accurate records, follow Shangri-La standards and work effectively with colleagues and external contractors.
