Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare, logistics, and professional services. Hospitality jobs are concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa, and the airport area. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and generally polite, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Employees enjoy excellent public transport, reliable services, diverse food, modern healthcare, and a safe urban lifestyle, although rent and daily expenses can be high. Foreign applicants normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or another applicable permit; approval depends on salary, qualifications, nationality, occupation, and prevailing government rules. Employers usually submit the application, and candidates should confirm eligibility before relocating. Shared accommodation and living near MRT stations can help manage costs.
