Job Description

The Public Area Supervisor oversees cleanliness, presentation and daily operations in hotel public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms and guest facilities. Requirements typically include previous experience in hotel housekeeping or public-area operations, supervisory ability, good communication skills and a strong understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and workplace safety. The successful candidate is expected to lead and coach team members, inspect assigned areas, coordinate cleaning schedules, respond promptly to guest or departmental requests, control supplies and maintain Shangri-La’s service standards. Flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required, along with a professional appearance, attention to detail and a guest-focused attitude.
