Job Description

The Business Development Manager – MICE is responsible for generating and converting meetings, incentives, conferences and events business for Shangri-La in the United Arab Emirates. Candidates should have proven hotel sales or MICE experience, strong knowledge of the UAE corporate and events market, an established client network, excellent negotiation and presentation skills, and confidence using sales systems and reporting tools. Fluency in English is generally expected; additional languages and regional market knowledge are advantageous. The role requires achieving revenue targets, developing accounts, preparing proposals, coordinating with operations, attending industry events and maintaining strong client relationships. The successful candidate is expected to be commercially focused, well organised, proactive, polished and able to deliver exceptional guest and client service.
