The Lift & Escalator Specialist is responsible for maintaining, inspecting and troubleshooting elevators, escalators and related vertical transportation systems at Shangri-La’s Hong Kong property. Candidates should have relevant technical qualifications, practical experience with lift and escalator maintenance, and knowledge of electrical, mechanical and safety systems. The role requires the ability to diagnose faults, coordinate repairs with contractors, complete preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service records. Strong safety awareness, problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. The candidate is expected to work professionally in a hotel environment, respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, follow statutory requirements, and cooperate with engineering and other operational teams. Shift work, standby duties and fluent communication in English or Chinese may be required.
