Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, multicultural city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, healthcare, logistics and professional services. Hotel roles are concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa and the airport area. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are also common. The lifestyle is safe, efficient and convenient, with excellent public transport, modern shopping areas, diverse food and many parks. Accommodation and daily expenses can be high, particularly near central districts, so shared housing or living near MRT stations may be practical. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to salary and eligibility requirements. Applicants should confirm current Ministry of Manpower rules, arrange suitable insurance and budget for rent, transport and deposits before relocating.
