Job Description

The Stewarding (Dishwasher) supports the kitchen by washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils and equipment. Duties may include operating dishwashing machines, hand-washing delicate items, cleaning kitchen floors and work areas, removing waste, restocking supplies and following food-safety and hygiene procedures. Candidates should be physically fit, dependable and comfortable standing for extended periods in a fast-paced, hot and wet environment. Previous hotel, restaurant or stewarding experience is helpful but may not be essential. The successful candidate is expected to maintain high cleanliness standards, follow instructions carefully, work cooperatively with chefs and service teams, and perform shifts that may include weekends, public holidays and late hours.
