Job Description

The Chef de Cuisine leads the kitchen operation at Café KOOL, overseeing menu planning, food preparation, presentation, quality, hygiene, cost control and daily team performance. Candidates are expected to have substantial experience in a hotel, restaurant or high-volume café kitchen, with strong knowledge of international cuisine, food safety and kitchen organization. Culinary training and experience supervising chefs and stewarding teams are typically required. The successful candidate should be creative, commercially aware, calm under pressure and committed to Shangri-La’s service standards. The role also requires effective communication, staff coaching, inventory management and the ability to maintain consistent quality during busy service periods.
