Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, corporate finance, risk, compliance, technology, healthcare, logistics and professional services. Its culture is multicultural, efficient and business-oriented, with English widely used at work. The lifestyle is convenient and safe, supported by excellent public transport, modern healthcare, international schools, diverse food and easy access to Southeast Asia. Housing can be expensive, particularly in central districts, while daily expenses vary considerably by location and lifestyle. Professionals relocating for a banking role commonly use an Employment Pass, which requires employer sponsorship and approval based on salary, qualifications and prevailing government criteria. Senior hires may also explore dependant or long-term visit arrangements for family members. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, health insurance, banking access and tax guidance. Singapore’s warm, humid climate, compact geography and highly connected airport make it practical for both work and regional travel.
