The GC-AFC Assurance GRIT Trainee supports UOB’s Group Compliance function, focusing on anti-financial crime (AFC) assurance activities. Responsibilities may include reviewing controls, conducting compliance testing, analysing findings, preparing reports, tracking remediation and supporting risk assessments across businesses or locations. Candidates are generally expected to have a degree in finance, accounting, business, law, risk management or a related discipline, with strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills. An interest in financial crime prevention, including anti-money laundering, sanctions and fraud controls, is important. The role suits graduates who are detail-oriented, ethical, curious and comfortable working with data, policies and multiple stakeholders. Relevant internship experience, professional qualifications or knowledge of banking regulations would be advantageous.
