Major employment centres include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and regional project hubs. Workplace culture is generally practical, collaborative and safety focused, with relatively direct communication and an emphasis on work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy capital-city living to relaxed coastal or regional communities; housing and transport costs can be high in major cities. Skilled professionals may explore employer-sponsored visas, the Skilled Independent or State Nominated pathways, and regional programs, subject to occupation lists and eligibility.
