UGL is seeking a Senior Engineer – Grid Connections to support the design, assessment and delivery of electrical connections for renewable energy, transmission and infrastructure projects. The role typically requires a recognised electrical engineering degree, professional experience with high-voltage networks and grid-connection studies, and knowledge of Australian electricity-market requirements, protection systems, power systems analysis and relevant standards. Experience with software such as PSCAD, PSS®E, PowerFactory or similar is valuable. Candidates are expected to provide technically sound solutions, prepare engineering documentation, coordinate with network operators and clients, manage technical risks, and mentor junior engineers. Strong communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills are essential, together with a commitment to safety, quality and project deadlines.
