Job Description

The role supports young people living in residential care, particularly those affected by trauma, neglect or complex behaviours. Requirements typically include relevant experience in youth or community services, a trauma-informed approach, strong communication skills, current First Aid and CPR certification, a police check, Working with Children Check and the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays. A Certificate IV in Youth Work, Residential Care or Community Services is often preferred. Candidates are expected to provide safe, consistent and compassionate care, build trusting relationships, follow individual care plans, manage challenging situations calmly, maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with families, case managers and other professionals.
