The role requires a full UK driving licence, safe and confident driving, good physical fitness, reliability and the ability to walk, stand and handle mail for extended periods. Candidates should have good customer-service and communication skills, basic organisation, and the ability to work independently while meeting delivery targets. A flexible approach is expected, as shifts may include mornings, weekends or busy seasonal periods. Previous delivery experience is helpful but is not always essential, as Royal Mail generally provides training.
