Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers job opportunities across logistics, transport, healthcare, technology, finance, retail, construction and hospitality. Royal Mail and other delivery companies recruit in cities, towns and rural communities, although vacancies and pay vary by region. UK culture is diverse, generally informal and respectful of personal privacy, with strong traditions in sport, music and local community life. Living costs are highest in London and the southeast; housing is usually more affordable in northern England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Public transport is extensive in urban areas, while a car may be useful for delivery work. Overseas applicants normally need permission to work before starting employment. Postal delivery roles may not qualify for a Skilled Worker visa, so candidates should check current Home Office rules. Relocating requires budgeting for accommodation, transport, tax, National Insurance and healthcare access.
