Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers extensive coastal living and strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, technology, and construction. Abu Dhabi provides a modern, relatively relaxed lifestyle, with beaches, museums, shopping centers, international restaurants, and cultural attractions. The population is highly multicultural, and English is widely used at work, while Islamic customs influence dress, public behavior, and religious holidays. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, residence permits, medical checks, and identification cards for overseas hires; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Many hospitality packages include shared accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and annual flights, but benefits vary by contract. Relocating candidates should verify salary, service charge, housing, probation, leave, and repatriation terms before accepting. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air-conditioned transport are important parts of daily life.
