Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities across hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, healthcare, construction, technology and skilled trades. The Gold Coast is especially active in tourism and hospitality, with a relaxed coastal lifestyle, beaches, outdoor activities and a warm climate. Australian workplaces are generally practical, multicultural and fairly direct, with strong expectations around punctuality, safety, workplace rights and customer service. Living costs, particularly rent, can be high in popular coastal areas, so budgeting is important. Visa options may include employer-sponsored skilled visas, the Working Holiday visa for eligible nationalities, and student visas with work conditions. Requirements vary by occupation, age, qualifications and nationality, and applicants should check current rules through the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Relocating usually requires a valid visa, tax file number, bank account, suitable accommodation and health insurance where applicable.
