Job Description

The Purchasing Officer manages the resort’s procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining purchasing records. Candidates should have previous purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort, along with strong knowledge of suppliers, inventory procedures, cost control, and purchasing systems. Good communication, negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills are essential. The successful candidate is expected to maintain high ethical standards, ensure that goods meet quality requirements, follow Marriott and resort policies, coordinate closely with finance, stores, kitchens, and other departments, and support efficient purchasing while controlling costs.
