Job Description

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for keeping hotel public spaces clean, orderly, and welcoming, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, and other guest areas. Candidates should be physically fit, attentive to detail, dependable, and comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting during shifts. Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is helpful but may not always be required. The role expects consistent cleaning standards, safe handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals, professional guest interaction, teamwork, and flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts. A positive attitude, personal grooming, punctuality, and the ability to follow Marriott and Sheraton procedures are important.
