Job Description

The Account Executive (Accounts Receivable) manages hotel receivables, including posting payments, preparing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, reconciling accounts, and following up on overdue amounts. Candidates typically need a diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, together with relevant hotel or commercial accounting experience. Familiarity with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, credit control, and financial procedures is expected. The successful candidate should be accurate, organized, ethical, and comfortable handling confidential financial information. Strong communication skills are important when working with guests, companies, travel agents, and internal departments. Marriott hospitality experience and knowledge of Malaysian accounting practices would be advantageous.
