Destination Guide

Japan offers hospitality, culinary, tourism, technology, teaching, healthcare, and manufacturing opportunities, especially in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hokkaido, and Okinawa. The country combines efficient public transport, excellent food, seasonal traditions, and a strong respect for punctuality, cleanliness, and workplace etiquette. Tokyo provides outstanding career access but has high housing costs and a busy lifestyle; regional areas can be quieter and more affordable. Foreign workers generally need an employer-sponsored status of residence, such as Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services or a Specified Skilled Worker visa, depending on their occupation and qualifications. Hotel and culinary applicants may need relevant experience, certificates, and Japanese-language ability. Before relocating, arrange a signed contract, Certificate of Eligibility, visa, housing, health insurance, pension registration, and a residence card. Learning practical Japanese greatly improves daily life and workplace integration. Japan is an archipelago rather than one island, with distinct climates and lifestyles across its major islands.
