Job Description

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, checking, recording, storing and issuing hotel supplies, equipment and materials. Typical requirements include previous experience in hotel stores, warehousing or inventory control, basic computer and stock-management skills, good numeracy, and the ability to maintain accurate records. The candidate is expected to inspect deliveries, follow proper storage and food-safety procedures, monitor stock levels, conduct regular counts, reduce wastage and support timely supply to hotel departments. Good organization, physical fitness, attention to detail, honesty and teamwork are important. Experience with hotel inventory systems and familiarity with Marriott standards would be advantageous. The role may involve lifting items, working in storage areas and following varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
